HCLTech is conducting a walk-in recruitment drive for the role of Mainframe Developer. This opportunity is open to fresh graduates from the 2024 and 2025 batches who have completed training or certification in mainframe technologies. The drive will be held in Chennai, but the job location will be PAN India.

Job Responsibilities

  • Support and maintain mainframe-based applications.

  • Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle including design, coding, testing, and deployment.

  • Collaborate with internal teams and stakeholders to deliver reliable software solutions.

  • Debug and resolve technical issues in existing applications.

  • Write efficient code using COBOL, PL1, and JCL.

  • Ensure system performance and code quality standards are met.

Skills Required

  • Basic knowledge of IBM Mainframe technologies (zOS, COBOL, JCL, DB2, VSAM, etc.)

  • Understanding of database concepts and file systems.

  • Strong analytical and logical thinking skills.

  • Good communication skills in English (written and verbal).

  • Willingness to work in a team and adapt to new technologies.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Bachelor’s degree (B.E/B.Tech) in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics, Electrical, or related disciplines.

  • Only candidates from 2024 and 2025 pass-out batches are eligible.

  • Minimum of 70% marks in 10th, 12th, and UG/PG is mandatory.

  • Must have completed a certified Mainframe training program.

  • Recent passport-size photograph

Note: Do not carry any electronic storage devices like laptops or USB drives into the premises.
